Join PROFS

We encourage you to join over 900 of your colleagues in PROFS so that the voice of the UW-Madison faculty remains strong on the many issues that impact the UW-Madison and UW-Madison faculty.

What your dues will do
PROFS follows the legislative and federal issues that affect the UW-Madison faculty, testifies before legislative committees, arranges to speak to legislators in their offices, and writes letters to the Governor and public officials. Faculty support of PROFS allows us to hire Jack O’Meara as our Legislative Representative for PROFS. Read more about Jack's work and success for PROFS. Your dues also allow us to hire Marian Ekweogwu, our administrative secretary and newsletter editor, who plays a key role in following and analyzing legislation.

Membership in PROFS is one-tenth of one percent of the academic-year salary. For example, for a $45,000 nine-month salary, dues are $45, and this is handled as a payroll deduction of $5 per month September through May.

UW-Madison faculty are eligible to join PROFS. We invite you to join your colleagues who support PROFS by filling out the brief on-line membership form.
